Artist Statement :

My hand-built slab built work is made of low fire earthenware with multilayered

and weathered underglazes and limited glazing. This work is part of

a continuing experiment in creating simple objects that have a timeless look;

both ancient yet with a modern sensibility. I am interested in creating pieces

that reveal unexpected contrasts in color, shapes, textures and surfaces.
